Chino
From birth, Daniel “Chino” McGregor has been a part of Jamaican music history as the son of reggae icon, Freddie McGregor. And, although undoubtedly proud of his father’s legacy, Chino is adamant that this connection will not be his claim to fame.
Literally living at the studio thru stretches, Chino is responsible for voicing such hit singles as “Protected”, “Pon your Head” and “Never Change (From Mawning)”.
With his album slated for release this summer (2010), Chino stresses, in his interview with radiodubplate.com’s Richard Banton, that he would continue to “give the people real music” making songs that are “motivational, uplifting and conscious”.
As one of the persons responsible for keeping the Big Ship afloat, Chino continues to make it clear that he will never change, remaining "calm and collected”.
And, with a resume that includes being a selector, expertise with numerous instruments and choir membership, Chino continues to wow audiences while writing and producing hit singles.
