New York based artist, Duane Howard is definitely utilizing his silky smooth voice to its full potential. At 22, D-Wayne is the “King” of a new dancehall movement that he calls “Island Pop” - a fusion of R&B, pop and reggae sounds. Refreshingly, you get a taste of this sound on “How She Likes It” his first single on which he collaborates with veteran reggae dj, Junior Kelly and producer Dr. Marshall.

During his interview with radiodubplate.com’s Richard Banton, Duane talks about “falling in love with reggae music” and “perfecting his craft…[by] going back to the drawing board” to record his new album.

Not one lacking in confidence, as exemplified by his proclamation to be the “R&B and dancehall ladies man”, Duane Howard is bringing a fresh vibe to the scene that we hope will resonate with reggae fans and be around for the long haul.
